• Research Assistant (April 2024 - Present)

  Work as a research assistant at the Multidisciplinary AI Research Center at the University of Peradeniya, directed by Prof. Janaka Ekanayake. I am engaged in developing a learnable, AI-driven, agent-based model to create an emulation environment for studying the propagation of airborne and vector-borne diseases, with the goal of informing high-level healthcare policies.

• Teaching Assistant (Jan 2024 - April 2024)

  Worked as a full-time teaching assistant in the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Peradeniya, where I was responsible for:

  • Instructor in charge of a first-year Computing course, overseeing 450 engineering students by preparing lab materials, quizzes, and conducting lab sessions.
  • Instructor for third-year undergraduate project courses and fourth-year undergraduate research project courses within the department.
  • Co-supervising a final-year research project: "A Comparative Study on Generalized Automated Medical Image Segmentation for Dataset Building"

• Software Engineer Intern (Dec 2022 - May 2023)

  Completed a 22-week internship as an engineering intern at WSO2 software company. Gained hands-on experience in backend development using Java, cloud-native language Ballerina, Azure Blob storage, and Azure SDK utilization. Also, acquired skills in software hosting on the Choreo platform and access and identity management using ASgardeo.
